Sewing patterns

buttonsWe all live hectic lives and often it can be difficult finding a nice hobby which is relaxing and of course doesn’t bust the budget. Your hobby you choose would be based on what you enjoy in your life and your interests.  Today we’re going to look at the hobby of sewing, whether you want to call it a hobby or craft is slightly debatable but it essentially involves attaching objects with either a needle or thread and then either fixing a current item or perhaps even creating some new stunning pieces of needle work for friends or family.

For centuries sewing was normally done by hand but now thankfully due to technology this process can now be significantly reduced through the use of sewing machines.  If you’re looking to create your own unique designs but you’re a little unsure of where to start then you need to check out these stunning sewing patterns.

Fidget Spinners Maintenance

Fidget Spinners have recently hit the news as the most popular toy in 2017. With various different materials, bearings, spin times, quality and other features that make up a Fidget Spinner, we as manufacturers of Fidget Spinners in Singapore would like to offer our knowledge and expertise in order to help you create a sustainable collection of fidget spinner toys that don’t simply spoil or devalue over time.

Spinners range from the cheapest type, plastic tri-spinners, and increase in cost due to various features such as design, uniqueness, material, up till you get the best fidget spinners that cost in excess of hundreds of dollars. They are the best gift for your child, as they help with various classroom problems and act as a source of ADHD Stress Relief, calming them down and ensuring they are able to focus.

So it is no wonder that the students value the quality of their spinner today. But what makes a good Spinner? Here at Spinnerway we have been selling fidget spinners in Singapore for over the last 3 months, and have excellent grasp of what you should look out for.

Ball Bearings: Most fidget spinners on the market today, especially the tri-spinners, use either a 608 sized Ball Bearing or an R188 sized one. The difference in bearing size is significant and affects the spin time of the fidget spinner. It is widely accepted by the top manufacturers and knowledgeable sellers that R188 ball bearings are the better bearing size to use in spinners, as they are smaller and more stable, allowing for more weight in the form of material to be contributing to the torque and spin of a Fidget Spinner.

Material: Fidget spinners are made out of a range of materials, but the most premium fidget spinners tend to be made out of stainless steel, brass, or various heavy metals. Plastic and aluminium are also used but are cheaper and tend to have many quality issues. Nevertheless, they are a good starting point for somebody who is just entering this hobby, and after all the first fidget spinners were made out of 3d printed plastic!

Quality: Premium Fidget Spinners are identified by a lack of wobble, a longer shelf life, better design and heavier material. While there may be cheaper spinners out there on the market today, a good rule to follow is that the cheaper the spinner, the more likely it is that it is made out of low quality production and does not follow the established quality control practices that manufacturers such as ourselves have learnt to adopt. Creating a spinner requires precise machining and adept knowledge from the size of the inner diameter of the bearing and creating a functional system to hold the bearing in place amongst other detailed practices. Take for example our Zenith Spinner, which was our flagship product when we first started selling fidget spinners in Singapore – made from machined brass, featuring a 5 minute spin time, its secret as a premium fidget spinner lies in the fact that every part of the spinner is precisely held together with little room for error, and this allows the spinner to revolve for extremely long periods of time with little to zero wobble.

Authenticity: Lately, there has been much debate about the quality of spinners and how to tell a fake from a real spinner. In reality, the only major difference in authenticity is whether a spinner is branded, and which location it is made in. Popular spinners like the Spinetics are a mix of perfection in that they are branded well, marketed strongly and carry the highest quality control despite being manufactured in China. Today, the debate continues on regardless of who is able to produce better spinners, but we ourselves believe that it is hands-on quality control and checking that determines the spinner, and authenticity should not be a factor except for those who seek to collect them all!

We’re hopeful that with the above short guide, you will be better equipped to choose the best fidget spinner for your child to play with.
